Use soap-free detergents. Avoid fragrances that are not really necessary. Do the same in the dryer. Avoid perfumed dryer sheets. They can cause your baby’s skin to be irritated.

You have to be smart when shopping for children’s clothes. They grow so fast. You have to be choosy about the styles that you pick so that you can find ways to make them last longer. Pick pants with deep seams so that you can rip it apart and make adjustments for size, if necessary. Depending on the style kids shirts can be ordered a size or two bigger. This will extend the productive life of your child’s shirts.

Avoid getting them clothes in bold solid colors. They tend to fade faster. Kids love shirts with funny designs and slogans. Help them choose statements that are appropriate for their age. You don’t want those brandishing slogans that are meant for adults.

Onesie is a brand name of Gerber, the baby company. The word has, however, turned generic so that now it refers to the piece of infant garment that is put on like a t-shirt and is closed around the crotch. It keeps the baby warm and comfortable. It can be worn at any time of the day. When the weather turns chilly mommy can just add a sweater and pajamas to keep him warmer.

A wise mom should have a generous supply of onesies in her baby’s cabinet. She will find fun and pretty designs for boys and girls.
