My kids can’t get enough wearing their sheepskin slippers. Who doesn’t anyway? I myself find them so light and comfy! Good thing sheepskin slippers, if treated properly, can last almost a lifetime. To achieve this especially in your children’s sheepskin slippers, you might want to keep in mind these sound ideas:
- Avoid enzyme-based shampoos and cleaners as it can break down the wool and leather
- Check the labels on cleaning products before using them on the slippers.
- Machine washing may also tear the slippers apart or tint them with colors from other fabrics, so make sure to hand wash them instead.
- Don’t put them in a clothes dryer or expose them to excess sunlight or heat. These will all ruin the slippers.
- Fluff the wool on your slippers with a small wire brush. Though this isn’t really necessary, it does restore the texture and softness of the slippers just like it was new.
