My Kids Love Sheepskin Slippers

Monday, June 14th, 2010

My kids can’t get enough wearing their sheepskin slippers. Who doesn’t anyway? I myself find them so light and comfy! Good thing sheepskin slippers, if treated properly, can last almost a lifetime. To achieve this especially in your children’s sheepskin slippers, you might want to keep in mind these sound ideas:

  • Avoid enzyme-based shampoos and cleaners as it can break down the wool and leather
  • Check the labels on cleaning products before using them on the slippers.
  • Machine washing may also tear the slippers apart or tint them with colors from other fabrics, so make sure to hand wash them instead.
  • Don’t put them in a clothes dryer or expose them to excess sunlight or heat. These will all ruin the slippers.
  • Fluff the wool on your slippers with a small wire brush. Though this isn’t really necessary, it does restore the texture and softness of the slippers just like it was new.

Creativity in Elastic Bands

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

The creativity of every growing kid can greatly depend on the items that surround him or her. But when educational toys are no longer applicable, fashion can come into play. Animal rubber bands are currently one of the hottest craze with kids, and even with some adults. These have been around for the past five years and even some professionals in offices are getting so hooked with them.

Animal rubber bands come in many different colors, sizes and shapes. Children enjoy them so much in such a way that they feel that they actually have a zoo on the floor! They are perfectly elastic that when you completely stretch them, they return to their original shapes. What makes these really special is that they are made of toxin-free silicon which is a lot better than the contemporary rubber.

Sledding with Your Kids is Fun when They’re Warm and Comfortable

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Weather shouldn’t be a hindrance for your children to have fun. You can also schedule outdoor activities with your toddlers even during winter as long as they are kept warm. Toddler snowsuits are the perfect clothing especially if you want to take them sledding. These are often made of breathable waterproof fabrics. They typically have polyester fleece linings to make them feel warm and comfortable.

The best toddler snowsuits have improved sturdiness because of the polyester reinforcements. They feature internal zipper flaps to stop the wind from penetrating the suit. These come with frogman hoods that could keep the snow and wind away from the head. You can also choose the best size for your child that ranges from 2T to 3T.

Let the free flow of air between your child’s feet and sheepskin fibers become a comforting change from the clamminess of leather and vinyl. Childrens sheepskin slipper is made of wool that does not shed because it is embedded into the leather, not woven. It will resist snags, tears, wrinkles, soiling and pilling.

Sheepskin is static-free and flame resistant. It is also wind-proof and will stay warm even when wet. In case your little one steps into soiled flooring, sheepskin slippers can be gently hand- or machine-washed. The wool moreover drapes beautifully that it will never sag but instead retains its shape for many years.

Winter calls for warm and comfortable footwear. Have your child wear durable kids winter boots that will keep her feet snug. Boots are an important part of every winter wardrobe. Make sure you buy the right kind for your child.

Get proper measurement of your child’s foot size. Don’t rely on an old pair of shoes. They should be at least an inch down to provide her feet with proper growing room.

discount childrens clothing

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Kids grow up very fast, especially babies and toddlers. The fastest rate of growth of a baby actually happens in the first year of life. That is why it is not advisable to buy lots of baby and childrens clothes that your child will probably only use a couple of or several times before the clothes are outgrown.

Unless you plan to have other babies or have smaller children, it is recommended that you buy discount childrens clothing more often than more expensive ones. Be a wise spender when it comes to shopping for childrens clothes. You’ll not only be saving money but channeling it to other things that your child needs.
